What data we process

When you contact us. If you email us, we process the information you send, such as your name, email address, organization and the content of your message.

When you visit the website. The website runs on the Squarespace platform. When you visit, technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view may be processed to deliver the website, keep it secure and produce visitor statistics.

Why we process it and on what basis

  • To answer your enquiry and to plan or deliver our services. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b)).
  • To operate, secure and improve the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • To meet legal obligations, such as accounting requirements, if we enter into a business relationship (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).

The website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, and Squarespace may use cookies to produce anonymous visitor statistics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Who can access your data

Your data is processed by Hoit Oy. We use trusted service providers, such as our website platform (Squarespace) and our email provider, who process data on our behalf and only according to our instructions. We do not sell personal data.

Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some service providers may process data outside the EU/EEA, for example in the United States. Such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or the Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting business relationship. Records we must keep by law, such as accounting records, are kept for the periods required by Finnish legislation.

  • have your data erased or its processing restricted
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest
  • receive your data in a portable format, where applicable
